Event Update - We're going virtual!

January 27, 2022

Join us as we launch our virtual conference.

Who has a case of deja vu? 🙋

If you feel you’ve been here before you’re not wrong!  Last year we brought you the highly successful Mini Con after making the tough decision to postpone UX New Zealand in light of the Delta variant. This time Omicron is forcing change, with a move to an alert level setting that increases restrictions on events including limits around gatherings, mask wearing and social distancing. But as Mini Con proved last year, we aren’t about to let the pandemic completely stop UX New Zealand in its tracks!

UX New Zealand is going 100% virtual with a few more bells and whistles!

Due to these new restrictions, continued uncertainty and desire to put the wellbeing of our local community first, UX New Zealand will become a 100% virtual event.

In 2020 we were able to successfully pivot to a hybrid event and welcome participants from around the world. So we hope you can join us next month as we embark on this  new journey and experience UX New Zealand as a  fully virtual event.  We know with the build-up from Mini Con in 2021 that the interest in  attending UX New Zealand is at an all time high with people   jumping at the opportunity to connect and hear from our fantastic lineup of speakers.

We’re still tweaking the program to make things as remote friendly as possible, including more breaks, and new networking opportunities in some cool social lounges so bear with us. We’ll be updating you with more details on the schedule and details soon.

We also want to make sure you are supported through this transition to a virtual event. If you have purchased an in-person ticket, we will be reaching out shortly with next steps to transfer to a remote ticket.

As we look to the future, we’ll be working hard to dream up more exciting virtual events as well as smaller hybrid meet ups across New Zealand to keep that community feeling going until we can all get together again in person. So keep your eyes and ears open for more announcements in this space.

Thanks for your patience and support  -  we’ll be back in touch again soon.

Kia kaha,

The UX New Zealand team
